Not much in the way of getting-started instructions, but if you’ve ever set up a bench grinder you know what’s required. The sanding sleeves are tricky to get over the rubber wheel, but stick it out and you’ll get it on there. Definitely screw it down to a table if you can: stability is key for machine sanding and burnishing.Once it’s set up, it’s a good, capable machine. The burnishing drum has good useful groove sizes, and the variable speed of the motor works well and is easily controllable. It’s hard to find variable speed on anything affordable, so it’s great that it works so well here. As for the sanding drum, hey, sandpaper in motion will do the job!The only real con is power: if you have big jobs this machine will handle them, just be ready to go at a pace the motor dictates; you’re not going to power through sanding inches deep into 12-oz leather, or burnishing entire bags’ seams in a single minute, but it will get the jobs done and will save you time and elbow grease.
