We've been using bags for kitchen scraps to take out to our compost, but ran into this and grabbed it-makes an AWESOME compost bucket to keep in the kitchen! SOOOOOO much more can go to compost, without all the tiring chopping and cutting up of stalks, skins, etc.!! This nifty little thing with its BOSS BLADE chopped up aloe skins, banana skins, expired veggies, all just thrown in whole! Totally took our compost game through the roof! The lid is nice & tight, and the bucket a thick material, so we get no smells as it sits and fills. We run the blade a few times, and go pour the bucket of nutrients in our compost heap! I don't know why we never thought of this before, but I am THRILLED to have this in our kitchen! I know not for the intended use, but this is now a shining star in my organic herb gardening & compost creation! HUGE time saver, and saves the arms and shoulders from all the chopping of the extra tough stuff, YAY!
