Purchased my Timemore C2 Max grinder in March 2022, so I have been using it daily (sometimes twice daily!) for over 6 months now. This is my first manual coffee grinder, and I have never owned an electric one. Overall, I am very impressed with this machine. It is simply constructed, elegant in appearance, and feels robust while using. For pourover, I generally set it at 12-16 clicks, but this depends on how much coffee I'm making (more coffee = more clicks). For Aeropress, I generally do 10-12 clicks [Just an aside: Setting #10 is the practical lower limit for me; I've found that at settings less than 10, the grind time increases considerably]. Due to density differences among roasts, I can fit between 28 grams (dark) and 35 grams (light) of beans into the hopper. I've also found that better quality beans (e.g., Methodical, Stumptown) take MUCH LESS time to grind that "cheap" beans (i.e., anything under $10 a bag); lighter roasts also tend to take less time to grind than darker roasts. The only real negative with this grinder that I can see is that it is very top heavy, and easily falls over when bumped). Eventually, I think I will upgrade to a 1zpresso with a larger bean hopper, more grind fine-tuning ability, and hopefully, a bit faster grinding speed, and relegate the Timemore to black peppercorn duty (it does a fantastic job doing this, btw). For now, I am very pleased with the C2 Max, and highly recommend it. IMO, it's an excellent value at (roughly) $70. It's also fun and satisfying to use - Just don't grind 28 grams of Starbuck's House Blend at 9 clicks. You will need to take a rest! This was purchased new, not as new. This was obviously a return. It did not come with cleaning brush, travel bag or instructions as shown in the description. I did try it and it works well but do not like paying for new and getting a product that had been used and missing the extras. I will probably return this.Update!!!!!I did return this and excellent Amazon customer service sent me a replacement. This came sealed in plastic unlike the first grinder and is definitely new. Grinder works great and excellent quality. This package also was complete with bag, brush and instructions. I'm now a happy camper. Thanks Amazon.I am not using this for coffee, but rather I am grinding whole pepper corns to a nice uniform size for meat rubs. This works great! It is super well constructed and is simple to use and clean. The only advise I have is the first time you take it a part to clean it watch out it has an internal spring and a collar washer that may get lost if you aren't paying attention.I find this grinder to be very well-made with good quality materials, a good burr grinder, and great function. It has a nice gunmetal gray color and the adjustments produce the right grind. I do find that some of the coffee sticks to the rim of the screw off bottom. I’m sure this would happen in most cases, but it seems like this thing is a static electricity magnet. Overall, I’m very happy though, and find it satisfying to grind coffee with.Much nicer than the noisy whiz grinder I had. The long handle is solid and gives plenty of advantage. Many clicks to adjust your grind preference. I have small hands and I didn't have a problem keeping hold of the body. The carrying bag is convenient.Really liking my choice. Solid construction and works very well. Bringing my am coffee to a whole new levelWhen I first picked up the box, the weight, I got excited. I soon had the C2 max in my hand, and as a certified plumber's son, I knew I had the right tool for the job.30 grams weighed, 30 grams fit.First casual pace grind around one minute, and thirty seconds. Second casual 30 gram grind around one minute, and 15 seconds. This is at 27 clicks for French press.Since I was upgrading from a Krupps blade grinder, grind uniformity, and coffee flavor/experience was beyond anything I could have hoped for. This is my first real coffee grinder, and the way it is built and performs, it may be my last.Well done, well done indeed.Amazing! Built like a TANK and grinds more consistently than my old electric Breville.WAY superior to the Hario Mini-Mill.As far as speed, this grinds FAST.I can do 60g (two grinds of 30g) in about 1 min (that includes weighing out the beans and dropping the ground coffee into the coffee basket). And the mechanics in this thing make it a breeze to grind. The grinder is fine but this listing is wrong as are the specifications for this model. This model is the Timemore C2 MAX with a 30g capacity, which I had to confirm with seller. Shipping was quick and I did indeed receive the correct model. This grinder is not good for espresso (there are other hand grinders geared for this but are far more expensive), but for an entry level burr grinder, you won't find cheaper or better made unless you up your budget significantly. Timemore has excellent reviews and it's easy to see why. Very happy with purchase.
