Description
The Eureka Atom 75 Espresso Grinder bridges the gap between coffee shop quality and home cafe convenience—and looks great doing it. Built on the same sound-insulated design of the original Atom, the Atom 75 adds a much larger burr set and more powerful motor for a grinder as quick as it is quiet. This focus on grind ability puts it on par with many commercial-built espresso grinders—while still offering features fit for the home barista. Dual programmable timers, manual grinding, a stepless grind adjust, and anti-static dosing are a few of the finishing touches that set the Atom 75 apart from competitive models. All this is wrapped in a slim and narrow case design that prioritizes appearance as much as function, making the Atom 75 an ideal fit for your countertop cafe.

Excellent performance. Really very happy, with one small exception that I couldn't find any info about online. My son was attempting to get into making his own espresso, and held the portafilter and basket up really high on the grinder causing grounds to build up and spew out everywhere/up the chute, etc. That's when our dreadful static issues began. Before then, a crackling/snapping sound could be heard, and grounds would dispense pretty much static free straight down into the basket. After the incident, they were flying everywhere. Sticking all over the handle, all over the basket rim... Floating up onto the machine...I thought at first it was a clog in the chute, so I dismantled, but it all seemed pretty clean with very little grounds hanging out in there.I reassembled, and it continued doing it, and I started fearing the worst, so I took it apart again and just examined everything, and noticed the only single electrical component that was anywhere near the grounds, was the led, that hangs from the mainboard on a wire, and sits pushed into the rubber gasket at the bottom. It has to insert a fair way into it, and because the wire is so flexible, it can't get in there unassisted. It bends upwards instead of sliding in.So I half assembled and helped it by pushing it from the top, and holding the display in place, while it founds it's way now fully into the gasket housing. As soon as this was back in place, not only was the front better lit again, but the static issue vanished. The crackling sound could be heard from the grinder again, and all seems well.I guess I can conclude that it uses the LED ground wiring to somehow ground the emerging grounds from the chute?I'm relieved it's working again, but that seems like a very weak component to be so important. One that has to be removed for cleaning, but also one so delicate that is going to be reassembled out of alignment unless you know about it.Hoping this might help someone else.Overall, it's still a 5 out of 5. It's a fabulous grinder. If that component was a little beefier in it's connection from the board, it wouldn't be possible for it to be bent up out of the way by either excess grounds or reassembly.
