I was thrilled when these arrived a day earlier than estimated, it is packaged well and not damaged in any way....I am a waiter in a high-end Italian restaurant that features AMAZING hand cut Steaks and New Zealand Rack of Lamb at a Hotel Resort....I always offer fresh ground pepper for EVERY salad, and for EVERY entree, to EVERY guest, at EVERY table ....I removed it from the box.... They are BIGGER than I expected .... but still workable....I was going to use one and keep the other as a back-up.... just in case.... I loaded one of them with 4 brand new AA batteries and filled it with peppercorns.... So excited for it's debut on a busy Friday night....Stage is set... here we go .... first table's salads.... it is LOUD with a noticeable high pitch whistle the light is embarrassingly dim... I try it on a couple more tables .... By the 3rd table it is grinding very slow and the light was so dim my "Bic" lighter would be BRIGHTER... Well being an eternal optimist.. and hoping it was just an isolated instance relating to this individual pepper grinder of the set.... After all, I was going to keep the second grinder for a back-up anyway........... Right? Just didn't think I would need to "Break the EMERGENCY GLASS" so soon ......LOL but Lets give GRINDER # 2 it's rightful chance to redeem the companies reputation, and a triumphant win for the GRINDER TEAM....I wanted to give the BEST odds for success.... however, I was out of fresh batteries so I went to a store and bought new "Energizer Batteries" loaded them into Grinder #2 filled it with peppercorns and laid out white wrapping paper in my kitchen sink, removed the protective bottom plate, Turned off the kitchen light... Pressed the MAGIC BUTTON ...... and as with the other one.... LOUD, with the high pitch whistle, embarrassingly dim light, and about 8 salads of grind time it was barely grinding at all.... SO DISAPPOINTED I had to send them back...Leary about trying another set from a different company, So many people just give a 5 star useless review saying "Works" or "Arrived Early... OMG!!! UPS just Dropped it off.... Can't wait to try it!!!"......or just "as described" C'mon people,We ALL DEPEND on EACH OTHER'S REVIEWS before purchasing.... be DETAILED in your EXPERIENCE, and if the item works... HOLD off writing your review..... use it for a month or more let the ENDORPHIN induced "WOWNESS FACTOR" WEAR OFF maybe write down some notes /details that you notice over the course of the month ..... then in your Best "DEAR ABBY" kind of specifically detailed, adjective filled, "Picture painting" manner..... Tippity-Tap away ..... Thanks, I hope my review was helpful and my review editorial was beneficial to those that need it "YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE" :)Thanks,TommieBasically this grinder set is very good. There are so many on the market, it was hard to decide in a reasonable amount of time. Finally, I was attracted to this set because of its sleek look, good reviews, and I thought it might be of Italian descent, design, or manufacture because of the name. Turns out it isn't but I'm so far quite satisfied. Because products like these at such reasonable prices can't be made of truly high quality materials...so that there's a lot of plastic and a little brushed metal...it felt to me at first that it might be a tiny bit flimsy. But in the end, it all fits well, it works very well, and if it lasts a long time (the concern is that many of these battery operated grinders have a tendency to break down over time) I will raise my rating to 5 stars! I recommend it. It's not small, so if you're looking for a small grinder set, maybe the company has one of them too. After eating at a friend's house this past weekend and admiring her grinder set, I decided I had to have a set of my own. That night, I went on Amazon and instead of selecting the set my friend had, I saw that this set was 'Amazon's Choice' and had a bonus feature - a light! I was super excited. I checked the mail every day until the package came. The outer package was fine - normal Amazon packaging - but the inner packaging was...interesting. It was a plain white thin-cardboard box that looked cheap-ish and it wasn't actually sealed. I immediately wondered if they'd been returned and resold to me...Undeterred, I took out my grinders - they looked very nice. No evidence of prior use, so I breathed a sigh of relief. I went out and bought coarse salt and peppercorns, came home and got to work. With the batteries in but before loading Grinder 1, I noticed it didn't seem to have a locking mechanism; I convinced myself the weight of the contents would keep it together. I looked at the light and thought it seemed weak, but convinced myself over a plate of food, it'd be bright enough...it's not like I needed it to see my food.So now my peppercorns are loaded and I push the button - the batteries are working and I hear the whirring, but what came out were inconsistent bits of pepper. Obviously something is wrong - with me - surely, I've put too many peppercorns in there. So I lift the grinder and wouldn't you know it must have read my mind bc the top came off and all the peppercorn escaped onto my lap, the table, and the floor! I'm super irritated, but still looking to make this thing work. With fewer peppercorns in there now, I hit the button. Now nothing is coming out. I play with the coarseness feature - nothing.Given the other reviews, I'd like to think I got a funky pair and its a one-off, but I'm done convincing myself these are anything thing but poor quality goods. Nothing substantively good about them unfortunately.Second set returned, as 1st set had one unit would not work after 2 sets of fresh batteries. This set had one ubit's light inoperative, top would not lock on level (1 side tipped up no matter how carefully it was put on) & fine/coarse adjustment wad disfunctionsl. I am done with this product for good, after 2 tries. The units output a tremendous amount of product "per press" of the button, even if you press it only briefly. This makes it difficult to use, particularly the salt, and I find myself grinding into the lid the smallest amount possible and then still throwing away about half. The pepper seems to be OK, but then I like lots of pepper so a generous dose per button press isn't a problem for me. It would be really, really nice if the motor that drives the grinder maybe had a low speed/high speed switch inside the mechanism, perhaps by the battery compartment so that it could be switched to low speed for better control (such as when seasoning plated food) and high speed for larger volume (such as when cooking)Produto entregue antes do tempo, bem embalado e em perfeito estado... acho que faltou na descrição ou eu não li, que seriam necessários 4 pilhas em casa para funcionar....O produto não tem a "alta qualidade" que diz ter. Moem bem o sal e a pimenta! Só elogios dos convidados!!!Um dos moedores veio com problema
