The original Makita brushes did not last all that long. BUT these brushes are far worse. The braided wire going down thru the spring melted, and the brush to armature interface ARCs terribly. These brushes are total junk. Used on my Makita RT0701C. I bought these brushes in Jan 2024, took me awhile until I needed my router, and just 10 minutes to realize the brushes were terrible.
