I use white pepper in a number of dishes and have been getting it from a restaurant supply house but I have never been quite happy with the 'freshness/condition' of their commercial white pepper. Malabar is the real deal. 100 proof fresh pepper. The zings the thing that is missing from the stale fraudulent crap they sell in the supermarket. I feel like I'm in a Batman Comic....'zing'.....'wham'.....'bam'...the real essence of pepper sent right to my door. The pepper crusader in a convenient plastic container. The real deal.I even suspect that the sturdy grinder/mill was designed to last a couple of more generations by refueling it with more Malabar peppercorns (minus the mill). By that I mean; seems you can refill it. Sturdy little bugger by the way and easy to use. Not only do you get your pepper but they also give you an excellent tool to grind it with. What are a couple of extra sneezes when real flavor is at stake/steak? Go ahead remain ignorant of what real pepper tastes like and keep using that supermarket 'cat litter' they call 'pepper'. If you don't order a container of this stuff you have only yourself to blame. Meow.....Yeah,,,,their black is just as good.
