Uponreceipt, the packaging was damaged. The spiral shaft had poked through the box. It appeared the cardboard used was to soft. The spiral shaft was jammed in the strainer and could not be removed. In trying I sliced my finger on the metal filings that had not been removed from the housing. I could go on about the operation of the strainer but it's not worth my time. Just know that this is a poorly made product that was poorly packaged.
