This is my second set of electric salt & pepper shakers. The first ones were another brand and required batteries. I liked them just fine with the exception that the salt came out a bit too heavy. When I dropped the pepper shaker into a pan of gravy, I was pretty sure I would have to replace my shakers. I started my search for replacements and found these. They are much more expensive than the originals but do not require batteries and hold more salt and pepper. So far I am in love with these devices. They are easy to set up and dispense with the touch of a button. The plugin for the USB charging cable is hidden beneath the top cap that easily slides to the side. Also, they are easily adjustable for the amount of seasoning to dispense from the shaker. The design of the shakers is very nicely done and does not detract from the countertop. I highly recommend this product. They would make a wonderful gift for newlyweds, family or friends. They are packaged very nicely and make a nice presentation. I hate to throw away the box because it is so nice ?.
