New fur baby with very sharp nails and those dew claws this wipes them out and do t scare my babyI have a very anxious Dachshund who hates getting his nails trimmed!! This grinder made it SO much easier to trim them and he wasn’t nearly as anxious and actually let me trim all four paws in one sitting!Definitely for smoothing out rough edges and I was looking for some with rougher to take place of cutting nails. The noise level is great and my skiddish girl tolerates it very well. I just wish sander part was rougher to take more nail off.My dog always flinches when I try to trim his nails, but he did great with this one. I was able to clip and smooth. Sander is super quiet. Didn't bother him at all!Great grinder and clipperI love this little set. The grinder is very quiet so none of my boys have a problem with it and I really appreciate that the clippers have a guard on the back. This keeps from clipping off too much of the nail.
