Looks like someone did not know what they were doing when they made this.I got this as a backup incase the power were to go out and I still wanted to grind grains for bread and such. This machine is not too sturdy and while it may be o.k. in an emergency, I don't think it would be good for long term use.During all the shortages so far it was hard to obtain chick mash for baby chickens so we used layer pellets and ground them up with this. It is very adjustable and can make crumbles or very fine mash. We are happy with how easy this is to use and clean. This mounts to the counter easily. We are happy and satisfied with our experience with this grinder and find it very easy to recommend.We got this to use while camping to be able to still have fresh ground coffee.It arrives needing a full assembly.It took my husband about 10 minutes to assemble it by himself.It comes with decent directions on how to assemble and use.The counter attachment, which is the main thing that stabilizes the unit while grinding does not stabilize anything.The metal housing seems to be flimsy.The grinding burrs seem to also be low quality.To test it out we assembled it.We then put our favorite whole bean coffee in the hopper.We had to hold it stable in one hand because the counter attachment was so loose.In two turns the coffee beans jammed up the unit.We had to reverse the crank to try and unjam it.It then jammed in reverse as well.We went back and forth several times and then emptied the hopper of the not fully ground beans.We unassembled it and put it all back in the box.We would not buy this again.Pardon me but i purchased this grinder on Ali Express (saved about $25 but ended waiting 2 months ! ).I can tell you first hand that this is not designed to grind coffee:First, The counter attachment mechanism is useless and will wobble/turn while grinding because the grinder is struggling to grind. You can actually see some of it on the seller video.Second, once the coffee beans enter the auger it "chokes" the entire grinder to a halt.Third, you need to Reverse grind to release the choke and repeat this motion of left and right turns in order to produce a little bit ground coffee.The trouble to return this grinder back is not worth my time and aggravation.Sorry, but i feel that i owe this to the community of buyers.
