I've had dogs all of my life and clipping their nails is a necessary evil. It helps to get them comfortable with the vibrations and noise for several days before you actually try to use this on them.While the motor is relatively quiet, it still makes noise when you grind your pets' nails. So, getting them used to the vibration will be a HUGE help.Aside from that, just go slow, take plenty of breaks and your dog will eventually get used to it. You're supposed to use this every week on your dogs' nails. The idea is to keep taking just a little bit instead of having huge grinds every time you need to trim.But this is a great product and much more controllable than the clippers because they have to take off quite a bit each time. With this grinder, you can take off half a millimeter if you want so this tool is MUCH more precise!
