I love the precision of this diamond wheel; it doesn’t wobble or bounce when I touch it to the stone. I carve delicate shapes in stone, so it is important that the spinning tool doesn’t “chatter” and traumatize the fragile stone. I love the smooth, stable grinding action of this diamond grinding wheel.The circumference creates a large enough working surface, that it doesn’t readily clog up, nor does it get too hot too fast; smaller wheels clog up faster and don’t have time to cool down between revolutions. The radius of the wheel offers just the right amount of curvature for carving controlled curves; a smaller radius makes dimpled surfaces; larger wheels are unwieldy.This diamond die-grinding wheel is a key component of my stone carving work; used especially when I’m carving my stone feathers.
